about the artist

TJ is an abstract artist who lives near Seattle, Washington. She spends as much time as possible on an island off Key Peninsula in the Puget Sound, finding inspiration in the wind and waves.

As a child, TJ learned to paint with her mother as her teacher. When her own children grew up and left the nest, art went from a hobby to a passion.

TJ teaches Software Development at a local college. In her free time, TJ enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

The interactions between people and nature are what inspires her work.
